Walk the River Birch Trail from Sydnor Drive upstream along the Lawson's Fork Creek.
Check the center posts of all the footbridges to find this piece.
Additional Information about this Piece:
If you look across the creek towards a yellow house with white trim you are at the right spot. Look up at a crooked tree where a tiny hole is cut straight through the central trunk. If you look closely, you can see the sunlight shining through this tree.

Kris- thanks for what you are doing. I walked this trail upstream today and loved it so much I walked it downstream to the cottonwood trail too! I am afraid someone beat me to the art (I really liked that piece too, so I am a little bummed) but I might have found an even better treasure in the trail itself (no offense). Thanks for sharing your talent but also thanks for doing it in a way that really opens our eyes to all the beauty we have in this city. If you head up a committee to get more greenspace (especially at that old Sky City), let me know. I would love to join you! Keep making us get out there and learn more about this town!!
I appreciate your thoughts. I promise I am not offended in any way. I am enjoying where this project is taking me as well! We live in a beautiful place.
We should talk to Upstate Forever about how we can help with Sky City, I think. I bet they will have some ideas. Why don't we both call to ask for their help today?
